Oh the weather outside is ... FRIGHTFUL! Here in Western Pennsylvania, we have all been patiently waiting for the weather to break so we can get out there and do what we do best! Unfortunately for us, we have been stuck inside due to rain and snow.
This has been beneficial for your Miss Area Auto Racing News 2014 because I've been able to spend all kinds of time in the gym getting in shape and ready to pose for victory lane photos! This week will begin the grueling (yeah, right) process of the first of many photoshoots over the next two weeks to finalize media cards to hand out to my adoring fans. I've got the poses, I've borrowed a racecar from a friend, and now I just need my sash and a smile! Keep your eyes peeled for some candid shots as well.
Additionally, I've nearly finalized my April race schedule. When I do, I will make an official post. Tentatively:
April 18th & 19th: McKean County and Williams Grove
April 25th: Fast Friday racing at Bedford Speedway
I do have some other great news I want to announce to all of you, but I have to wait until the official release of the product until I can share it all... so stop back again soon!
That's all I have to say on this sunny Monday. Keep my schedule in mind, and cancel your plans -- we're going racing!!

I started this blog as a victory lane trophy queen-- now I'm a wife and we have a baby. Here's where I put all my thoughts.. they're scattered.

The (horse)Power of Friendship
Hi! It's halfway through the week. Wednesdays are typically reserved for hanging out with my bestie and today is no different. So I get off work, and I drive about 25 minutes over to the next town and meet up with little miss Kaytlyn for Friendsday Wednesday.
And on the way I put my iPod on shuffle and listen to whatever comes on. Trigger: nostalgia. When you take an 11 hour road trip with your best friend to the world finals, you're bound to scream out some songs!! And so I'm in the car driving down the road and it's just like they say "funny how a melody sounds like a memory...".
It's easy to get into the habit of living everyday life going through the motions without really being grateful for what we have, but today again I realized I have so much to be thankful for. So many fond memories with great people-- working on racecars, running around racetracks with a purpose....
I guess I just wanted to say that I'm so pumped for summer. I can't wait for more road trips, more dusty late nights, and making even more memories and friends along the way. So cancel your plans-- we're going racing soon. :). See you soon, peeps
